I'm sorry, but the whole idea just sounds like your typical high school play. but who knows, maybe it'll suprise us like the one last year. :)

Typical high school play? REALLY? I would love to know--name them, please...be specific--what high schools and what plays JQ2008 is "typical" of. [You have three days to respond...not that you need any time at all to recall something so typical, of course.]

I'm sorry if I offended you, it truely wasn't my intention. I don't know, it just sounds kinda average to me. Not the Johnny Quest part, but making it Teenage Johnny Quest. It just sounds like it's been adapted for high schoolers, while the other plays that I've seen at this high school seem a bit more, for lack of a better word, mature. But, like I said earlier, maybe it'll suprise us. :)

What I find offensive is one (yes, only ONE) student poisoning everyone else's excitement, beating back the tide of energy with complaints that are unfounded...saying things that they can't support, can't back up with facts.

Clearly, you've not read the script. The people involved in this production take it very seriously, very adult...like they're making a big budget Hollywood movie. It's actually kind of scary how seriously some of us take it.

Feel free to treat it as casually as you like, the rest of us are going to die for this play. That's why theatre at Mann is not "typical."
